Steak with Brussel Sprouts



Ingredients


a. For the Steak

  1. Steak of choice

  2. Salt

  3. Pepper

  4. Garlic powder

b. For Brussel Sprouts

  1. Brussel sprouts - 14-18 nos, cut in half

  2. Olive oil

  3. Mustard (Dijon) - 2 tblspn

  4. Maple syrup - 1 tblspn

  5. Garlic - 3 cloves

  6. Salt

  7. Pepper

 

Method


a. For the steak

  1. Marinate the steak in salt, pepper and garlic powder.

  2. Heat a cast iron pan on medium heat.

  3. Once the pan is hot, add the steak and cook to desired doneness.

b. For the brussel sprouts

  1. Heat oil in a pan.

  2. Add brussel sprouts, cut side down. Let cook for about 5min or until almost cooked through.

  3. In the meanwhile, mix together the mustard, maple syrup, salt, pepper, finely chopped garlic. Add a splash of water to thin it out.

  4. After 5min, coat the brussel sprouts with the prepared mixture. Cooked for an addition 1-2min.
