Ingredients:
Flour - 150gm
Whole milk - 100gm
Salt - 1/2 tspn
Sugar - 1 tspn
Baking powder - 1 1/2
Butter, cold - 42gm
Method:
Preheat the oven to 425F.
Sift together the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
Add the butter into the flour mix. It helps to cut the butter into small cubes and then add it into the flour. (place the butter in the freezer for 10-15min before using).
Add the milk, in small increments until a shaggy dough forms. Do not overmix.
Transfer the dough onto a clear dry surface. Roll it out to about 1.5 inches thick.
Cut biscuits using a cookie cutter.
Bring the scraps together and roll it out again to cut out more biscuits. Be gentle with the dough.
Place on a baking tray/ cast iron skillet.
Brush some melted better on top of each of the biscuit.
Transfer to preheated oven and bake for 12-15min.
Take it out of the oven and let rest for a couple minutes before serving.
